blankfuture: I'm not the anon, but since you're willing to pass on knowledge I decided to message you. I've been having trouble understanding how lighting affects objects. How do I know what tone belongs where etc..?
i’m not quite sure how you mean, but i guess it’s just from your own observation really? like where the shadows are? but, for example the drawing you’ve just reblogged (thank you btw! ^_____^) the light source is directly from above so there aren’t any shadows? when i draw objects i try to observe the curves and details in the shape rather than the shadows. (i’m completely useless, i’m sorry!)
